Additionally, all our assistants are highly trained and are constantly improving their skills at continuing education courses.

Al Psota

A native of Cleveland, Dr. Al graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry which he attended after becoming a pharmacist at Purdue University. After practicing in Parma for 27 years, he and his daughter opened the Middleburg Heights location in 2002. The driving force has been his desire to be more than a dentist, but to change his patients' lives. To this goal he has spent a significant time studying advanced cosmetic dentistry and progressive functional rehabilitation. He has crossed the country studying with the best dental clinicians to learn the latest techniques. Dr. Al is especially proud of his association with the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, recognized as the premiere postgraduate teaching facility in dentistry today.

Dr. Al is married to Kathy who enjoys watching their grandchildren (Dr. Jenn's children) and is an accomplished quilter. Dr. and Mrs. Psota live in Westlake and have four grown children. They have always been active in the community and were selected as Mr & Mrs Westlake for 1990. For enjoyment, Dr. Al enjoys skiing, golfing, the Browns and the Indians, traveling and his cottage at Pymatuning Lake. He also loves to travel and photograph the people and places he encounters. Most of the photographs in the office, portrait and scenic, were taken by Dr. Al.

Dr. Jennifer Psota

An athlete all her life, Dr. Jenn was proficient in soccer, basketball and track in high school, earning All-American honors in soccer. She attended the University of Dayton and graduated in Chemical Engineering before entering the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. After graduation she associated with her father and also quickly learned the value of advancing her education, joining him in seeking the most modern dental techniques. She, too, has attended and graduated from the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dentistry and has become proficient in cosmetic and neuromuscular aspects of dentistry.

Dr. Jenn is married to Robert Dougherty who teaches and coaches soccer at Bay High School. They live in Bay Village with their son, Sean, their daughter, Bridget, and their younger son, Brendan, who was born in 2006. In her spare time she still revels in sports, both as a spectator and a participant, but most of all enjoys spending time with Sean, Bridget and Brendan.

Both doctors are members of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Greater Cleveland Dental Society. They also hold active memberships in the American Academy for Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, The American Associated for Functional Orthodontics, and the Academy for Laser Dentistry.

Dr. Sara Cody

Dr. Sara Cody graduated with honors in 2006 from Marquette University School of Dentistry. She pursued an additional year of training in Advanced Education of General Dentistry at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During her training, she learned the importance of comprehensive patient care which involves a multidisciplinary approach incorporating all dental specialties. She has continued to enhance her skill in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Sara has embraced advances in dentistry as she provides one appointment crowns for her patients using Cerec technology. She enjoys building relationships with her patients by creating a warm, comfortable environment and taking time for education on individual oral health needs.

Dr. Sara recently relocated from Milwaukee, WI and currently resides in Westlake, OH. Her husband, Lincoln Likness is a sports and spine medicine fellow at the Cleveland Clinic. The couple have been busy with the birth of their first child, Kate. In her spare time, Sara enjoys running, personal fitness, traveling, and spending time with her family.
