Appointments
Appointments are necessary. Please call in advance so that we may reserve a time for you. We will make every effot to be on time for our patients, and we ask that you extend the same courtesy to us.
Insurance and Billing
We accept most traditional insurance plans, contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. Middleburg Heights Family Dentistry does not participate in Health Management Organizations; however, we will be happy to file your insurance claims for you.
Payment Options
We accept checks, cash or credit cards. We also offer a flexible payment plan. Please see our Financial Coordinator for details. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist.

Patient Comfort
The comfort of our patients is important to us. We offer:
- A Walkman radio to use during appointment to reduce the sound of the handpiece.
- Movie videos are available for longer appointments.
- Coffee, hot chocolate and hot tea is available from our FilterFresh machine in the reception area. For a real treat try the Café Mocha or the Cappuccino.
- Bottled water is available in the refrigerator in our refreshment center. Juice is available for small children. Please ask our receptionist.
- Many of our procedures involve lasers and bright lights and we provide special protective sunglasses for your eye safety and comfort.
- Let us know if you have back, neck or shoulder problems. Our chairs can be adjusted to several positions for your comfort.
- Our warm neck pillows are a real treat, they provide support for your neck and also relax your head and shoulder muscles.
- Want to be really pampered? During your dental appointment you can give your hands a special treat by moisturizing them in our heated hand warmers.
- If you get cold, we have blankets to warm you up.
- Dr Jenn has Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) available to ease your anxiety.

Patient Protection
It has long been our practice to follow the most stringent guidelines to protect you (and our staff) from disease. We take every precaution to prevent the spread of hepatitis and other infectious diseases. Our entire staff participates regularly in continuing education for infection control as well as patient and staff protection.
We start with the most commonly performed infection control procedures, also known as the "universal" precautions:
- We wear protective gloves, masks and eyewear.
- We change gloves and wash our hands between patients.
- We disinfect treatment rooms after each patient. The chairs, units and countertops are treated with a bacteria-killing solution.
- We use disposable instruments and supply whenever possible.
We use a special service to dispose of sharps, needles and other biohazard material. We want to assure everyone that we are committed to providing the best quality dentistry for a reasonable fee, while providing the best possible protection for patients and staff against numerous diseases and illnesses. We will continue to be on the leading edge in available dental procedures, materials and patient protection, and we appreciate your understanding in support of our efforts to provide oral health in a safe environment.
- Sterilization
Our new office has been designed with a state-of-the-art sterilization room. All our instruments are now contained in stainless-steel cassettes and the first step in the sterilization process involves treating these cassettes in the Miele thermal disinfector. We are the first office in the area to use this ultramodern device which can thoroughly scrub, wash and dry the instruments much better than we used to do by hand. The cassettes are then wrapped and placed in our autoclaves which sterilize them using steam under high pressure. After they are sterilized, they are stored until they opened just prior to your procedure. We are very proud of our high-tech sterilization room and are glad for the opportunity to show it to our patients.
- Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide is the chemical name for laughing gas. Although it really doesn't make you laugh, nitrous oxide does relax you so that dental treatment doesn't seem so foreboding. If you are one of those patients who is terrified about dental appointments, or if you would like to be more relaxed during restorative procedures, consider nitrous oxide. You can drive yourself home afterwards.
